Our wonderful Club
The Forster Croquet Club has around 130 members, with a broad spread of ages and playing handicaps.
We play Golf Croquet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings commencing at 8.30am for registration and games commence at 9.00am. Usually three games are played in the morning. We also play on Wednesday afternoons for those members preferring a later start on that day commencing at 1:00 pm for registration and play commences at 1.30 pm.
Association Croquet is played on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings commencing at 9.00am for registration and games commence at 9.30am.
Sunday afternoon is a special day for our members who would like a game or two of their preferred discipline in the afternoon, then stay for fellowship and a BYO dinner and a few drinks after the games. It's lots of fun and wonderful opportunity to enjoy each others company. This is made even more enjoyable by the club's wonderful facilities and our under cover verandah with a seating capacity of well in excess of eighty people.
The Club has four courts which are kept in pristine condition by our professional green keeper. With members doing the gardening and maintenance, their work combines to produce one of the finest courts in Australia, and (we think) among the top ten courts in the world.
